Fire prevention refers to precautions that are taken to prevent or reduce the likelihood of a fire that may result in property damage, injury or death.
At the West Corners Fire department we stress the importance of preplanning an escape route in the event of a fire. Understanding and practicing fire escape techniques when you are inside of a burning structure can save your life. Our Fire prevention Officers will demonstrate proper procedures to reduce the damage caused by a fire. Fire prevention is an ever changing service. We are constantly updating and training to meet the standards of fire safety in today’s society.
